The WCKFC/ICWCAA Summer Training Camp
by Richard Carrington
Public Relations Director for the WCKFC

SCOPE:
Summer Training Camp is scheduled for the second Friday and Saturday in August. It will be held high in the mountains of Utah and will include camping out overnight. Three meals per day are provided and if needed sleeping arrangements can be made by listing it on the proper place of your Application form. This 2 day camp will include 12 to 15 hours of training each day.

Just like the Ancient Shaolin monks who awoke in the early mornings to work out on the mountain side near the temple, the emphasis is on practical, and realistic work. Do not be fooled, this camp is not for everyone, it is not a lecture type seminar held inside an air conditioned conference room or school. It is intended to be both mentally and physically challenging. Also because this course offers a break from daily life it helps the student learn quicker than normal simply because there are no distractions, there is only Wing Chun and you. The necessity for quick, sound, actions and the ability to react calm under “actual street combat’ conditions are the primary objectives of the course. The simulated fighting stress of this course helps the student learn how to manage him or herself physically and emotionally during an actual street confrontation.
