This Biu Gee Punching Drill
(640k Mpeg no sound), is the way of practicing the power of the
punch that emanates from the last part of the Biu Gee form. Watch how
Grandmaster Ip Ching applies this advanced drill combining the shifting of the
body, stepping, positive and negative force of the arms, and releasing of
power that only a Biu Gee practitioner can deliver.
This
segment of Sil Lim Tao (535k Mpeg with sound) is compete with
sound. Grandmaster Ip Ching instructs movement with their proper names.
The Low Pak Sau (624K Mpeg no sound),
seen in the second to last section of the Wooden Dummy movements are used against any
attack that emanates toward the lower quadrants of the body, but higher
than the legs can block. In this clip, watch how Grandmaster Ip Ching uses his
body in conjunction with the timing of his low-level pak sau. This
is the expression of power that should be used while engaging in the use of Har
Pak.
Chum
Kiu, the second form of Wing Chun
This video clip of Grandmaster Ip Ching demonstrates shifting of the body and
proper elbow positioning in the execution of pai jarn or hacking elbows.
This elbow strike is contained within the Chum Kiu Form, the form everyone recognizes as the "Skill of Wing
Chun".

Contained
within the Wing Chun Pole form are seven movements. Three of the moves,
Tan Kwan (supine block), Kum Kwan (covering movement), and Biu Kwan (thrusting
pole) are moves that glue the second part of the Chi Kwan movements together.
This video clip is an example of these three movements demonstrated in action by
Grandmaster Ip Ching. (1.41MB Mpeg no sound).
The
Wing Chun Wooden Dummy,
in many ways is
still a mystery to
anyone who has ever witnessed a student working
one. The practitioner who has accomplished the necessary principles of
Dummy training can combine all the Wing Chun power into
very short movements. They can further hold lines which may seem nearly
impossible to ordinary students and practitioners outside the art. Gandmaster
Ip Ching demonstrates for you a short segment of the Wing Chun Wooden Dummy.
Watch carefully at how the Grandmaster's body works in perfect harmony as
a whole.

The
Dei Bong/Tan Sau
is created from the energy of an opponent’s attack that crosses over the
top of the Wing Chun practitioner’s arm but presses the power into a low
attack low. Since
the enemy will not be so naive to just let that single attack go without joining
it with another attack the enemy moves to hit with his other arm. This is when
the Wing Chun practitioner drops his elbow and presents his tan sau as a
defensive tactic. This movement, demonstrated by Grandmaster Ip Ching, from Bong
into Tan, combined with a step can be used to continue the attack and break
through the line of defense the opponent has desperately try to gain.(652KB
